II. Approval of March 10, 1999 Minutes - approved as
presented
III. Guest - Dr. Waechter and Curt Bruggman - Dr. Waecheter
wants to give the scholarship presentation to Dr. Elsner on May 16, 1999.
Goal is $250.000. Dr. Waechter will individually solict from Grades 8
and 9. Encouraging pledge of $20 per year for five years. Curt Bruggman
is available to assist.
IV. Activity Planning - Ann Barrett - Have 168 registered.
Angie has 4 or 5 people to help with registration. Names tags will be
available. Packets are complete.
Awards - Rick - has prepared certificates for current
exec council. Traveling plack for President. Door prizes - include book
store certificates, floral arrangment, hotel, meals, movie tickets,
mugs
BookStar will set up an onsite store, we will get
portion of sales.
V. Meet and Confer - Rodney Holmes - have 4 issues to
take forward
- administrative leave
- reclassification policy
- replacement funds for MAT President
- vacation fund max of 480 + 320

- Professional Growth - Emma Walters - have about $10,000 left
for next month.
Mike Murphy - feels that we should be
using the OGF budget rather than a shadow system. $141,000 available. He described
multiple discrepancies between OGF and the shadow system. He will work with Mary Lou and
Emma to track down specific figures for the next meeting. MAT Exec Council requests that
the Professional Growth Committee submit a monthly budget report that will reconcile the
figures between their shadow system and OGF.
