| Telecommunications industry focus on private switching systems with particular emphasis on private branch exchange systems. Examines the marketplace direction and the technical solutions being devised to meet user needs. Includes the marketplace and the players, system architecture, switching system interfaces, system functionality sets, hardware and software implementation of major vendors, adjunct systems and product directions for the future. Survey competitors to private branch systems, notably, Centrex systems, key telephone systems and hybrid systems. Prerequisites: None. | |||
