Fashion Illustration I
Proportions and techniques used in drawing fashion figures. Creation of fashion advertisements based on actual working situations. Prerequisites: None.

1. Draw fashion figures in proportion from a live model, photos, and illustrations. (I)
2. Render cosmetic heads. (II)
3. Render fabrics including patterns, floral, plaids and stripes. (III)
4. Render folds, gathers, seams, pleats, buttons, and construction details. (IV)
5. Use pen and ink, wash, charcoal pencil, drawing pencil, and felt tip pen to experiment with different media and techniques used in fashion illustration. (V)
6. Render accessories, such as shoes, jewelry, belts, and scarves. (VI)
7. Explain how to compile a swipe file, use photographs, make corrections, and work from a layout. (VII)
