Consideration of historic factors influencing fashion and fashion change with special emphasis on historic costume. Prerequisites: None.

4. Select examples of costumes from the Dark Ages, the Byzantine Empire, and Medieval periods. (I)
5. Identify Renaissance styles and explain how they have been adapted to present day dress. (I, II)

7. List items of apparel, fibers and fabrics, colors, hair styles, headdresses, and accessories unique to each period of historic costume. (I-IV)
