the objectives of chemical and biochemical process treatment of water and
wastewater. (I)

terminology associated with chemical and biochemical treatment processes. (I)
3. Describe
the layout of chemical and biochemical process facilities in water and
wastewater treatment plants. (I)
4. List
and describe the chemicals, equipment, process schemes, monitoring and
maintenance needed for chemical precipitation and softening processes. (II)
5. List
and describe the chemicals and materials, equipment, process schemes,
monitoring and maintenance needed for three types of molecular adsorption and
ionic exchange processes. (III)
6. List
and describe the chemicals or microbial mechanisms, equipment, process schemes,
monitoring and maintenance needed for chemical and biochemical flocculation
processes. (IV)
7. Describe
the population dynamics and metabolism process of microbial organisms used in
water and wastewater treatment. (V)
8. List
and describe the microbial organisms, equipment, process schemes, monitoring
and maintenance needed in aerobic and anaerobic systems, and complex microbial

9. Describe
