Prerequisites: Auditions required or permission of instructor.

Interpret and perform a varied repertoire of jazz music. (I- VI)

Use correct vocal placements including chest voice and head voice. (I)

Explain and demonstrate the appropriate use of the mixed voice. (I)

Use deep, supportive breathing technique to sustain the integrity of the vocal phrase. (II)

Use appropriate articulation and diction. (III)

Use simple movements, blocking and choreography to enhance a choral performance. (V)

Memorize a variety of assigned vocal jazz works. (VI)
