Practical training in writing specifications for all permanent aspects of an interior. Includes information on evaluation of quality and estimation of flooring, wall covering, finish materials, and architectural components. Emphasis on building a resource file for a variety of goods and services related to the field of interior design. Prerequisites: INT105. Prerequisites or Corequisites: INT160.

1. Identify options for a variety of architectural features to include doors, windows, and moldings. (I)
2. Identify and evaluate floor coverings appropriate for hard surface use, including wood, ceramic tile, and natural stone. (II)

4. Accurately measure and estimate correct square footage or yardage for floor covering products. (II)
5. Describe appropriate care and use of various textile products, including finishing treatments. (III)
6. Identify and evaluate major wall materials, surfaces, and finishes. (IV)
7. Identify and evaluate a variety of materials and styles of wall coverings. (IV)
8. Accurately measure and estimate the rollage needed in wall coverings for given amounts of wall surface. (IV)
