Process of building a piece of furniture including calculating and buying needed material, using tools properly and safely (hand tools and machines), jointery, wood preparation and basic finishing techniques.

2. Design a piece of furniture which has doors, drawers and or shelves, using either available or custom plans. (II)
3. Select material appropriate for the furniture project. (III)

5. Construct basic joints for the furniture project. (V)
6. Construct doors, drawers, and/or shelves appropriate to the furniture project. (VI)
7. Assemble and finish the piece of furniture. (VII)
8. Describe advanced techniques in furniture construction. (IX)
