of the Southwest |

Investigates major themes in Southwestern American
literature including the Western myth, minority roles in the region's
literature, control of nature versus primacy of nature, and growth. Both
prose and poetry are examined with an emphasis on contemporary Southwestern
writing. Prerequisites: None. |
