Economic History of the United States
The evolution of the American economy in the context of the development of the North Atlantic Economic Community. The development of the major economic institutions of the United States; significant historical events such as the great depression; major trends in economic thought as related to economic developments. Emphasis on production technology in agriculture and industry, the labor force, market structure, the monetary system and the economic role of government. Recommended for students who intend to enroll in ECN 111 and ECN 112. Prerequisites: None.
