Emphasis on listening and speaking skills involving survival skills. Asking and answering questions related to work, shopping, and personal safety. May be repeated for a maximum of six (6) credits. Prerequisites: Appropriate ESL placement test score.

4. Ask about and express information about personal life in present tense. (II)
5. Identify and describe information about present and past actions. (II)
6. Use possessive adjectives to discuss ownership. (IV)
7. Use and respond to simple questions of time using prepositions of time. (V)
8. Give and receive simple directions using prepositions of place. (V)
