1. Identify the hardware and software components of a computerized graphics system and describe their functions. (I-II)
2. Use graphics software menus, submenus and symbols. (II-III)
3. Utilize compositional theories as related to and incorporated into the foundational elements of design. (II-III)
4. Utilize various computer drawings and painting skills, knowledge of color, design, and perspective to produce graphic designs. (II-III)
5. Edit graphic information received from external sources through various mediums and reformat that information for use in the computer environment. (II-III)
6. Utilize graphic input devices and demonstrate the different characteristics of each device on the production of finished graphic art. (II-III)
7. Use the computer to produce camera-ready graphic designs (black and white mechanicals) for consumer applications. (III)
8. Utilize software to produce multi-color separations of art project. (II)
9. Employ design and composition concepts to critically evaluate computer graphic art. (III-IV)
10. Execute final art using hardcopy from an appropriate printer. (IV)
11. Prepare a professional portfolio. (II-IV)
