Introduction to Local Area Networks
Overview of local area networks. Emphasis on the elements of a local area network, current issues and products, and use of a local area network. Includes terminology, hardware and software components, connectivity, resource monitoring and sharing, electronic mail and messaging, and security issues. Prerequisites: CIS105 and (BPC108 and BPC109) or permission of instructor.
