Introduction to Architectural Desktop, a solid modeling software used by architecture professionals. Procedures unique to advanced software and pertinent to architectural documentation. Emphasis on residential working drawings.
Prerequisites: CAD145 or permission of instructor.

1. Use start-up and configuration procedures of architectural solid modeling software. (I)
2. Create a residential floor plan complete with all pertinent symbols and notes utilizing advanced architectural software. (II)
3. Use software methods to generate room, door, and window schedules. (II)
4. Produce residential exterior and interior elevations using software procedures. (II)
5. Develop a typical residential cross section and construction details using architectural CAD software. (II)
6. Use architectural CAD software to produce a residential foundation plan complete with associated details. (II)
7. Generate a roof framing plan using software methods. (II)
8. Clean up and modify drawing elements using architectural CAD software's editing features. (III)
9. Edit, constrain, apply, and modify dimensions according to common architectural standards using advanced software methods. (IV)
10. Create and plot a complete set of drawings of all course work relevant to the creation of a portfolio of residential working drawings. (V)
