          1. Approximately 200 words (nouns-45%, verbs-15%, adjectives/modifiers-15%, numerals-7%, adverbs-5%, pronouns-5%, other-8%)
          2. Daily drills and oral quizzes on vocabulary learned by associating meaning with pronunciation
        B. Daily drills following examples of a pattern sentence
        C. Daily "talkathons"-speaking as long as possible without stopping or hesitating
      II. Grammar
          A. Nouns
            1. Masculine and feminine
            2. Singular and plural
          B. Verbs
            1. Present tense, first singular, third singular, and plural
            2. Ser vs. estar
            3. Infinitive
          C. Adjectives/modifiers
