Nursing Process IV
System of nursing practice continued from Nursing Process III to include expanded focus on client, family, and community systems. Holistic perspective integrating advanced concepts of health adaptation; individual, family and community needs; multicultural values; communication; life span development; nursing process; and professional role. Theoretical and clinical concepts of complex needs of medical/surgical, obstetrical, and pediatric clients. Emphasis on comprehensive assessment, analysis, and management of client care using critical thinking. Clinical experiences structured for advanced development and delineation of registered nurse behaviors consistent with the roles of the Associate Degree Nurse (ADN). Prerequisites: NUR208, ENG102, BIO205, and any approved course within the Humanities area of General Studies.
