Nursing Process I
Introduction to the systems of nursing practice and the holistic client, within the health-illness continuum. Presentation of beginning concepts of health adaptation, individual needs, multicultural values, communication, lifespan development, nursing process, and professional roles. Theoretical concepts focus on the childbearing family, the well child, gerontology, perioperative care, and pharmacology. Clinical experience structured to develop basic nursing skills, beginning medication administration, introduction to nursing care plans, basic charting, and computer skills. Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing Program.
