15. List the components of single and multiple pulleys conveyors belt and describe the function of each component. (I A)
16. Describe the correct procedures for storing and threading a conveyor belt. (I A)
17. Demonstrate methods of laying out and squaring conveyors belt ends. (I A)
18. Describe the procedures for making a vulcanized, endless splice and demonstrate the use of splicing tools in skiving and stripping down a conveyor belt. (I A)
19. Demonstrate the procedures for making a mechanical belt splice with differing types of fasteners. (I A)
20. Describe the function of specific belt cleaning devices. (I A)
21. List the standard tracking sequences and identify the tracking effectiveness of each roll, idler or pulley in a specific conveyor system for bulk and unit handling. (I A)
22. Demonstrate the procedures and for aligning conveyors components (i.e. frame trusses, pulleys, idlers and rollers) in bulk and unit handling. (I A)
23. Describe tensioning conveyor belts for bulk and unit handling with manual take-up and gravity take-up. (I)
24. Explain the function of screws conveyors and identify screw elevator components and describe the difference between helicoid and sectional screw flights. (I B)
25. Identify the different styles of screw flights, determine screw helix and rotation, and describe the application of each style. (I B)
26. Identify the types of screw conveyor bearings and seals by composition and style. (I B)
27. List the specific sequence of assembly for a specific screw conveyor indicating the means of maintaining clearances and thrust loads. (I B)
