1. Demonstrate correct position of body in the work area. (I)
2. Keystroke properly using letter, number, symbol, and function keys. (I, II, III)
3. Use peripheral microcomputer equipment, such as a printer. (I, II, III, IV)
4. Keyboard at least 28 words per minute for five minutes with no more than five errors. (I, II, III, IV)
5. Proofread and verify both on-screen and printed materials and documents. (I, II, III, IV)
6. Center text on a page vertically and horizontally. (III, IV)
7. Divide words at line endings following word-division rules. (III, IV)
8. Key/enter various business letter styles, including block, modified block, and simplified. (IV)
9. Key/enter addresses on or for envelopes and/or labels for mailing. (IV)
10. Key/enter memos, announcements, short reports, and other business documents. (IV)
11. Key/enter multiple-column tables with main and or secondary headings with /without columnar headings in exact vertical center placement. (IV)
12. Key outlines in acceptable format with headings and correct order placement. (IV)
13. Key manuscripts in unbound and left-bound format with/without internal citations and/or footnotes. (IV)
14. Answer objective test questions about general keyboarding knowledge with 80 percent accuracy. (I, II, III, IV)
