Fashion Illustration II
Advanced study of proportion and techniques used in drawing a descriptive garment trade sketch. Continued study of garment style lines, drapes of fabric, and texture interest. Emphasis on development of skills in presentation drawing and fashion illustration for portfolio development. Prerequisites: TEC134

TEC135   19945-19995 Fashion Illustration II
1. Design fall, spring/summer, holiday, and cruise group lines. (I)
2. Select colors for fall, spring/summer, holiday, and cruise group lines and swatch group designs. (II)
3. Sketch line and flats to accompany figures. (III)
4. Use advanced media techniques and a variety of media including markers, pastels, colored pencils, and tempera to render fabrics. (IV)
5. Use appropriate techniques to render fabrics. (V)
6. Render figures in a variety of a fashion fabrics and fibers including gabardine, corduroy, crepe, suede, leather, linen, cotton, silk, velvet, satin, lace, prints, and patterns. (VI)
7. Complete a final rendering. (VII)
8. Develop a portfolio consisting of 10-15 pieces shown on five figures. (VIII)
