Nursing Process IV
Use of holism and the nursing process to further develop theoretical and behavioral concepts related to individual needs of medical-surgical clients, including advanced complexities of pathophysiology of selected body systems with pharmacologic, communications, developmental, cultural and ethnic considerations. Emphasis on comprehensive assessment and analysis of data to predict client problems throughout the lifespan, using critical thinking and nursing skills. Legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities of the registered nurse and role transition issues for the graduate nurse. Clinical experiences structured for more advanced development and delineation of registered nurse skills, including planning and delivering client care with beginning management skills. Prerequisites: NUR208, ENG102, BIO205 and any approved course within the Humanities area of General Studies.
