Nursing Process I
Presentation of beginning concepts of nursing role, introduction to concepts of holism, nursing process, nursing skill development, effective communication, pharmacology, individual needs, health and illness, and selected body systems. Integration of growth and development, gerontology, health promotion, cultural and ethnic considerations. Clinical experiences structured to develop basic nursing skills in bedside care and beginning medication administration experiences, introduction to nursing care plans, basic charting, and computer skills. Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing Program.
