Technical aspects of prescription dispensing and drug distribution in the retail and hospital setting utilizing the computer. Bulk compounding, packaging, inventory control, drug storage and a variety of drug delivery systems. Laws that relate to specific technical tasks. Prerequisites: HUC170 or permission of instructor.

5. Describe the potential hazards in a pharmacy and list the procedure utilized to promote environmental safety. (V)

13. Describe the individual roles of the computer, the pharmacy technician and the pharmacist in the drug control and distribution process. (XIII)
