Fundamentals of Nursing I
Introduction to ethical/legal roles of nursing personnel, process and basic nursing skills. Includes preparation for diagnostic examinations, addressing nutritional and cultural needs and medical terminology. Gerontologic theory, assessment and caring for the older adult emphasized. Clinical experience to perform basic nursing care and care of the elderly provided. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the PN (Practical Nursing) Program.
