Advanced Medical/Surgical Nursing I
Introduces skills and concepts of the ADN role in mangement of adults and children. Focus on physical assessment and use of nursing process to implement nursing interventions based on individual needs related to cognitive and developmental levels and cultural diversity. Emphasis on pathophysiology and pharmacology of selected disease processes. Utilizes computers to explore patient simulations specificto course content. Prerequisites: Admission to LPN to ADN program or permission of the Director of Nursing.
