Reinforcement and broadening of routine procedures, portable skills and surgical procedures acquired in MRT238AB, Radiology Practicum III-AB. Observation and assisting in advanced exams introduced. Prerequisites: MRT238AB.

MRT248   19914-20032 Radiology Practicum IV
1. Under general supervision, perform radiographic examinations to include: chest, abdomen, contrast studies, upper and lower extremities. (II)
2. Under strict supervision, perform cranium and spine examinations, procedures in the operating room and examinations utilizing portable equipment. (I)
3. Assist supervising technologist in performing special procedure studies. (IV)
4. Demonstrate proper exposure and positioning techniques. (III)
5. Evaluate radiographs and perform necessary modifications to produce good quality films. (VII)
6. Utilize radiation protection devices and procedures. (VI)
7. Demonstrate appropriate ethical, legal and professional job-related behavior. (V)
8. Communicate appropriately with patients, physicians, and other members of the health care team. (V)
