Radiology Practicum III AB
Continuation of supervised student performance of routine radiological procedures, including surgery and portable procedures. Prerequisites: MRT158 and MRT238AA.

1. Perform basic radiographic equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
2. Under strict supervision, perform radiographic examinations to include the chest, abdomen, contrast studies, upper and lower extremities. (II)
3. Assist technologist in performing examinations of the spine and cranium, procedures in the operating room and examinations utilizing portable equipment. (III)
4. Observe special procedure examinations. (IV)
5. Utilize proper patient care techniques. (V)
6. Demonstrate proper radiation protection procedures. (VI)
7. Demonstrate appropriate ethical, legal and professional job-related behavior. (V, VII)
8. Communicate with patients, physicians, and other members of the health care team. (V, VII)
