Chemistry concepts as related to organic chemistry and biochemistry. Production, generator systems, short- and long-term radiopharmaceuticals utilized in radiochemistry. Principles of toxicity. Diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclides used in nuclear medicine imaging procedures. Localization techniques and kinetics of radiopharmaceuticals. Prerequisites: Admission to Nuclear Medicine Program, or permission of program director or department chair.
