Prehospital Nursing
Prepares the registered nurse for primary role in delivery of prehospital emergency care and inter-agency transport. Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients. Extrication techniques, stabilization, scene control, advanced cardiac and trauma life support, telemetry, and communications. Prerequisites: Current certification in advanced cardiac life support from American Heart Association, RN license or EMT with advanced certification, and two (2) years' recent experience in intensive care and/or emergency department. Corequisites: EMT/NCE219LL.
