Facilitates transition of Licensed Practical Nurses into the Associate
Degree Nursing programs. Includes review of basic skills, nursing care, and
ethical aspects of nursing. Emphasis on the nursing process, nursing care
plans, psycho-socio-cultural aspects, advanced nursing skills, and role of
the Registered Nurse. Orientation to the philosophy and conceptual
framework of individual nursing programs. Prerequisites: Hold a current,
valid, Arizona Practical Nurse License, or permission of instructor. Meet
all admission criteria for the Associate Degree Nursing programs.
