Nursing Process I
Presentation of beginning concepts of nursing role, introduction to concepts of holistic man, nursing process, nursing skill development, effective communication, care of peri-operative client, pharmacology, psychosocial needs, major physiological needs in health and illness, musculoskeletal system, and urinary system. Integration of growth and development, aging, rehabilitation, cultural and ethnic variations. Clinical experiences structured to develop basic nursing skills in bedside care and first medication administration experiences, introduction to nursing care plans, basic charting, and computer skills. Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing Program.
