1. Using a diagram, demonstrate correct methods for substation numbering including the 69 and 12 kilovolt (KV) busses. (I)
2. Describe the operation of primary and secondary substation transformers including tertiary transformer installations. (I)
3. Describe the use of relay application and zoned relaying as protective devices for substation equipment. (I)
4. Describe the advantages and disadvantages associated with the use of an overhead versus and underground electric distribution system, especially as they relate to substation getaways and current limiting problems. (II)
5. Describe the use and operation of sectionalizing devices on overhead and underground distribution systems. (II)
6. Compare and contrast fusing philosophies as they relate to overhead and underground systems. (II)
7. Describe the application of system grounding procedures on overhead and underground distribution systems. (II)
8. Compare and contrast transformer applications used with overhead and underground systems. (II)
9. Given emergency situations, select the proper procedures and describe their use with overhead and underground systems. (II)
