A technician level course. Topics include upper and lower airway pathophysiology and basic principles and use of pharmacologic agents as related to respiratory care. Prerequisites: RES100, RES120, and RES135.

1. Identufiy appropriate respiratory care for patients with respiratory disorders. (I, II, III, IV)
2. Given a patient with respiratory disorder, properly adminiter pharmacological agents. (III)
3. Assess the neonates pulmonary and cardiovascular condition and identify appropriate therapy for common pediatric/neonatal respiratorydisorders. (II)
4. Utilizing proper equipment and procdures develop and utilize a pulmonary rehabilitation program. (IV)
5. Demonstrate the skills necessary to perform day to day interactions and communication in written and verbal language with patients and other health care workers. (II, III, IV)
6. Demonstrate appropriate ethical, legal, and professional job behaviors. (I, II, III, IV)
