Entry level care skills for long-term patients/residents. Emphasis on medical terminology, ethical and legal behaviors, human structure and function, relationship of diet to health maintenance and disease prevention. Applies principles of gerontology to the care of patients. Prerequisites: Admission to the Geriatric Nursing Assistance Program. Corequisites: NUR163.
