Principles and Practices of Operating Room (OR) Nursing
Designed to prepare RNs to function in the OR. Emphasis on creating an optimum surgical environment, developing principles of asepsis, recognizing responsibilities in preparing surgical patient, recognizing role in generalized and specialized OR procedures, acquiring knowledge of legal responsibilities, and managing the immediate post-op patient. Prerequisites: Open to RNs or permission of instructor.
