Radiology Practicum II
Reinforcement and broadening of knowledge and skills acquired in MRT148, Radiology Practicum I. Principles of routine and portable procedures practice. Prerequisites: MRT148.

1. Perform proper office and darkroom procedures including: scheduling patients, originate patient exam requests, file and locate films, process films, maintain screens and cassettes, stock films, and duplicate films. (II)
2. Perform basic radiographic equipment operation and maintenance procedures. (VI)
3. Utilize proper patient care techniques. (VII)
4. Utilize radiation protection devices available for routine procedures. (VIII)
5. Assist technologist in performing radiographic examinations to include: the chest, abdomen, contrast studies, upper and lower extremities. (V)
6. Observe radiographic examinations of the cranium and spine, procedures in the operating room and examinations utilizing portable equipment. (IV)
7. Demonstrate appropriate ethical, legal, and professional job-related behavior. (VII)
8. Communicate appropriately with patients, physicians and other members of the health care team. (I)
