Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of
whole, decimal, fraction and metric numbers. Percentage and fraction
conversions. Metric units of length, weight, volume and temperature. Metric
system as it relates to the construction trade. Basic algebra and geometry
operations and equations. Area and volume calculations of shapes. Prerequisites: Registered Apprentice
status or permission of the Apprenticeship Coordinator. |

1. Perform
calculations using whole numbers to add, subtract, multiply and divide, with
and without a calculator. (I)

proficiency in measurements using a standard ruler, metric ruler, and a

calculations using fractions and decimals with and without a calculator. (III,
