Continued study of proper installation, erection, preparation and testing of industrial machinery and equipment.

Prerequisites: Registered apprentice status and MWR103.

Identify and define different parts of chains (rollers), sprockets, gears (all types), belts, pulleys, and bearings (all types). (I-VI)

2.

Demonstrate the proper use and application of lubricants. (I, V, VI)

3.

Demonstrate techniques of sprocket and pulley alignment. (II, IV)

4.

Identify four common types of bearings. (V)

5.

Demonstrate the proper installation of various types of bearings. (V)

6.

Install packing in a pump. (VII)

7.

Remove, inspect and install a mechanical seal in a pump. (VII)
