Overview of network systems: architecture of each network, transmission modes, functions, uses, and protocols. Synchronous and asynchronous data systems will be described and compared. Current concepts, technologies, and equipment in local and wide area networking are evaluated. Prerequisites: (TLT101, and CIS105), or permission of Program Director
