Telephony I/Voice
Overview of voice telecommunications systems that include both central office based and premised based platforms. Switching and transmission telecommunications concepts include numbering plans, powering, types of switches, call processing, signaling systems, traffic engineering, Topics include PBXs, and peripheral equipment. Set-up and basic trouble-shooting of PBX systems: punch down block wiring, programming phones and voice mail. Prerequisites: TLT101 or permission of program director
