Self-Care for Massage Therapists
Energetic dynamics of human relationships; elements that influence physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness; techniques for body/mind healing. Emphasis on self- awareness and self-healing. Assessing, writing, and participating in personalized programs of cardiovascular fitness, weight control, and muscular strength and flexibility. Prerequisites: None.

4. Use a variety of body/mind healing modalities as part of a self-healing process for the therapist. (IV)
5. Develop a personal exercise program that develops strength, stamina, coordination, and control. (V,VI)
6. Explain how massage therapists and clients may benefit from a variety of therapeutic activities. (VI)
7. Perform the fundamental skills of a chosen activity with proper body mechanics and adherence to health and safety standards. (VII)
