Special training in SCUBA diving to improve students' ability to appreciate the fish fauna (ichthyo-fauna) and learn basic techniques to quantify their observations.
Prerequisites: Open Water SCUBA certification or equivalent (any SCUBA certification card from a nationally recognized agency).

1. Perform the fundamental skills of fish identification to family groups using standard features of fish (shape, fin placement, etc). (I)
2. Perform qualitative and quantitative fish counts. (II)
3. Continue performing basic SCUBA diving skills, particularly better buoyancy control. (III)
