Auditory Meditation
Focuses on the East Indian Yogic (Siddha) and Ayurvedic (Transcendental) meditation traditions and use of mantras, sounds and music in meditation. Discussion of the Vedanta System of Philosophy and the Bhagavad Gita. Explores the history and popularity of auditory meditations, and scientific research into the health benefits of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and other auditory meditations. Prerequisites: (PED101VR and PED101VR) or (PED101YJ and WED151) and WED162 or department approval.
