Ultrasound Computer Based Review

Computer-based, ultrasound review. Physics, instrumentation, quality control, normal and abnormal sonographic anatomy.

Prerequisites: Currently employed in health care setting.

 

Course Notes: ICE212 may be repeated for a total of three (3) credit hours.

Ultrasound Computer Based Review

Define and explain specific concepts in diagnostic ultrasound, including physical principles, instrumentation, quality control, output measurements, and biological effects. (I, II, III, IV, V)

Identify sonographic findings of the normal abdomen, pelvis, small parts, obstetric and gynecological (OB-GYN), and cardiovascular system. (VI, VII, VIII, IX)

3.

Identify and explain abnormal sonographic findings in the abdomen, pelvis, small parts, obstetric and gynecological (OB- GYN ) and cardiovascular system. (VI, VII, VIII, IX)

4.

Interpret ultrasound cases to include, patient preparation, positioning, scan quality, and hemodynamics. (X)
