Continued observation of correct hospital procedures and policies in the clinical setting. Reinforcement and broadening of knowledge gained in Clinical Practicum I, DMI244. Patient examinations under generalized supervision. Prerequisites: DMI244 with a grade of "C" or better.

1. Perform, in a professional manner, departmental, safety, emergency, and ethical protocols specified by the utlrasound department and hospital. (I)
2. Perform proper darkroom procedures to include loading and unloading cassettes, processing films, and filing of completed examinations. (II)
3. Utilize proper patient care techniques before, during, and after the sonographic examinations. (III)
4. Perform proper office procedures to include filing, scheduling, billing, report retriveal, and processing of patients. (IV)
5. Assist the technologist in performing specific sonographic examinations in the clinical setting. (V)
6. Under general supervision, perform appropriate techniques for creating diagnostic images and identify and correct equipment malfunctions. (VI)
