Electrical Circuits, Math, Blueprints and Safety
Drawing wiring diagrams, assembling wiring systems and checking electrical circuits. Math and blueprint reading for electrical circuitry. Safety stressed.

1. Demonstrate proficiency in specific mathematical computations. (I)
2. Demonstrate proficiency in specific calculator functions. (II)
3. Interpret blueprints for welding. (III)
4. Draw a diagram and safely assemble a series circuit using a switch and more than two light fixtures with bulbs and demonstrate the use of Ohm's Law and the power law. (IV)
5. Draw a diagram and safely assemble parallel circuits using switches and light fixtures with bulbs and demonstrate the use of Ohm's Law and the power law to calculate results. (V)
6. Select appropriate meters to determine specific circuit assembly results and to determine coil and contact positions, demonstrate appropriate safety procedures. (IV, V, VI)
7. Select components to simulate Loads, draw a diagram, write a sequence of operations, wire and perform meter tests on specific circuits and demonstrate appropriate safety procedures. (VII)
8. Design wiring diagrams to include dual voltage, across-the-line start, part-wind start, start- stop stations and wire three-phase motors, and demonstrate appropriate safety procedures. (VIII)
9. Using specific systems and components mounted in the control panel, draw a wiring diagram, wire the system, operate the system, and check for proper operation using test meters to prove electrical circuits, and demonstrate appropriate safety procedure. (IX)
