Street Survival for EMTs
Principles of response to emergencies in a potentially lethal situation. Emphasis on recognizing and responding to violent emergencies or those that have the potential of becoming violent. Emphasis on scenario-based instruction.
Prerequisites: EMT(Emergency medical technology) at any level of certification; prehospital nurse, physician, or physician's assistant who functions in an emergency environment.

8. Identify and describe techniques for caring for victims of assault and exposure. (VII)
9. Identify and describe techniques necessary for preservation of crime scene evidence without compromising patient care. (VII)
