Prehospital Nursing - Advanced
Prepares the registered nurse for a primary role to include the responsibilities of first response and transportation of ill and injured patients. Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patients. Advanced cardiac life support, invasive airway skills, advanced trauma patient management, telemetry, and communications.
Prerequisites: EMT222 or equivalent, and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider validation.

4. Select the appropriate advanced mechanical, pharmacological, and/or electrical intervention, invasive/non-invasive airway and intravenous technique(s), in a given adult or pediatric patient situation. (II-X)
5. Remove/protect and manage patients and self during disentanglement using portable/powered devices. (X)
6. Triage patients according to the severity of injury/illness given a multiple-casualty situations. (X)
