Design, layout and fabrication of ridged and flexible ducts. Writing technical specifications. Application of welding, brazing and soldering techniques. Safety emphasized. Prerequisites: HVA115 or permission of instructor.

1. List and demonstrate use of drawing equipment for shop and on- site use. (I)
2. Draw specific technical graphics using geometric, orthographic and sectional techniques. (II)
3. Draw isometric, oblique and pictorial illustrations. (III)
4. Draw freehand and architectural illustrations of specific walls, windows and doors. (IV)
5. Write construction specifications. (V)
6. Design ductwork for specific remodel roofjacks, elbows, plenums and stands. (VI)
7. Layout duct design on sheet metal and cut out sheet metal components, demonstrating appropriate safety procedures. (VII)
8. Demonstrate welding, brazing and soldering techniques with specific materials, demonstrating appropriate safety procedures. (VIII)
