Clinical Laboratory III
Supervised clinical practice with emphasis on quality and proficiency of patient care. More difficult patients seen. Prerequisites: DHE216 or permission of instructor.

4. Utilize or perform four-handed dentistry procedures during dental hygiene therapy. (IV)
5. Safely expose, process, and mount dental radiographs to complete a full mouth series in one hour or less. (II)
6. Administer symptomatic treatment of an unknown medical complication or emergency. (II)
7. Perform health assessment; establish baseline vital signs. (II)
8. Assess condition of intraoral/extraoral soft tissue. (II)
9. Assess periodontal condition. (II)
10. Assess oral functional condition. (II)
11. Assess tooth structure for existing and possible restorative treatment. (II)
12. Prepare a patient's dental hygiene treatment plan. (II)
13. Modify dental hygiene therapy as needed to meet the special needs of patients. (III)
